February 2010 - July 2010 - ABC Moving Services, Inc. recently partnered with the prestigious law firm of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP to successfully accomplish the necessary packing and moving requirements associated with their recent office renovations.
This project took place over a 6 month period and we involved ourselves throughout every step of the process. I.E.
- General: Attended weekly move/construction meetings to review and coordinate each upcoming phase with the EAPD facilities team, architect, landlord & GC. Provided on-site management supervision throughout the duration of the project.
- Law Library: Coordinated with the library move team to create a labeling system that would allow future integration of books and formulated a plan to keep the all library materials accessible during the relocation. In total, we packed, moved and unpacked 3,000 linear feet during the transition.
- IP File Room: Worked along with the Records Supervisor to create the labeling system that allowed growth within the recreated IP file room... In total, we packed, moved, and unpacked 1,500 linear feet.
- Client Files: Worked along with the Records Supervisor to devise a labeling system. Special attention had to be paid to remaining linear feet because in some instances, depending on where the attorney’s files were moving, they needed to consolidate certain locations in their new area. In total, we packed, moved, and unpacked 2,500 linear feet.
- Work Rooms: Assisted the Records Supervisor in the packing, labeling and relocation of the multiple work rooms during the reconfiguration of file space during the office consolidation. In total, we packed, moved, and unpacked 1,500 linear feet, as well as, disassembled, moved and reassembled, according to the new lay out, the associated shelving.
In addition to all of the above, we also performed the following services:
- Relocated the office contents and IT equipment for 175 employees throughout the three phase project. With each computer and printer we provided a disconnect service.
- Provided off-site storage during construction.
- Coordinated the disposal, liquidation and recycling of all remaining office furniture from the two vacated floors.
- Shipped all reallocated office furniture to selected EAPD offices in the Northeast. (DC & WPB)
- Provided and managed the inventory of 1800 crates and 100 + library carts throughout duration of the six month project.
We delivered EAPD’s “high profile” project on time and within the allocated budget.
